One of the hottest stories on internet yesterday was the 31 seconds high-speed robbery at Apple Store in Marlton, New Jersey. The theives were as fast as if they were running for an olympic medal.
In this short time, they smashed the plate-glaas door, signled the security gaurd that they had a gun and took 23 Macbook Pros, 14 iPhones and 9 iPod Touches at an estimated value of $47000.

Yahoo! today has launched its micro-blogging platform Yahoo! Meme. The same product was first launched in Portuguese language and then in Spanish but today they have come up with English version of the site.
You cannot sign-up to this service yet but can leave your email address there so they may send you a sign-up link later on.
It has a nice clean design with much more options than twitter. With text, you can also upload images, videos or your favorite music from your computer or an online link. In your profile you can add a 100-character description with an avatar.
You can search people and follow them to make their updates show up in your stream. The first-impression of the service is good but we’ll have to wait to see if it can break the series of Yahoo’s failures in the social networking scene.

Rumors about an Apple event on September 9 are not rumors anymore. Apple has confirmed the Rock and Roll event on September 9 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Fransisco which starts at 10am (local time).
Apple has been doing these music events since 2005 to showcase the changes in iPods so don’t look for something other than that in this event. Expect iPods getting a camera and more storage and (probably) a new version of iTunes aswell but don’t expect something bigger than this, yeah I am talking about the Applet Tablet which most likely would not be featured in this event.
