Apple yesterday at Rock and Roll event released 3.1 firmware update for iPhone and iPod Touch users. This update comes free for for iPhone users but for upgrading your iPod Touch with this update, you have to pay $4.95.

But there’s a free way aswell. Simply follow the instructions and update your iPod Touch to Firmware 3.1 for free.

  1. Download and Install iTunes 9
  2. Download the update
  3. Plug-in your iPod Touch to computer
  4. Start iTunes 9 and select iPod Touch from the device lsit
  5. Hold shift and click restore
  6. Now locate and select the downloaded 3.1 firmware file that you downloaded in step no.2

Thats it, now you can enjoy Firmware 3.1 on your iPod Touch for Free.

Apple cuts the price of new iPod touch 3G, increases space and speed

Apple yesterday at the Rock and Roll event announced update to iPod touch line which brings many good things like decrease in price, increase in space and speed.

Increase in space refers to the new 64GB model of iPod touch which is now available at all the Apple Stores and increase in speed tells us about the addition of support for OpenGL for the 32GB and 64GB models which will result in better graphics and performance.

These 32GB and 64GB models would cost you $299 and $399 respectively and the price of 8GB is set to $199.

New iPod Nano 5G – Specifications, Pictures, Video and Price

As we predicted in our post about the confirmation of Apple’s Rock and Roll Event, Steve Jobs has announced the fifth generation iPod nano which comes with a video camera, radio, integrated mic for voice recording and a speaker.

The fifth generation of iPod nano has also got much better in the looks which now comes in 9 colors with polished anodized aluminum.  Another new feature is voice-over that speaks the name of the song and artist so you may not have to look at the screen while listening your favorite music. The specifications of this all new iPod nano are as follow:

Flickr launches its iPhone Application, available for Download

Flickr, one of the most popular photo sharing website has finally launched its official application for iPhone. Earlier users had to browse photos through website’s optimized version for iPhone and upload them by email.
